Landed in Tokyo

I came to Japan ALL BY MYSELF!  Can you believe it?  I'm still sort of in shock.

Anyways, this is my first blog post ever, so let me just start off by saying WELCOME!  Friends, family, strangers, doesn't matter!

So my background story.
I've lived in Vancouver my entire life.  I'm 23.  I attend SFU as an Economics major.  I applied for exchange and got accepted to Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo, so that's where we are today.





I landed here at Narita Airport yesterday, checked into Marroad International Hotel (the cheapest I could find, why? Well, because I'm Chinese), ate a nice dinner and went to sleep!

This is (or should I say was?) my dinner.  Looks pretty good huh?  You should have seen it before it was all eaten.  It came with packaged meat and everything.  Man, what DON'T the Japanese think of?

Well I guess that was a bit rude to show you guys eaten food.  So here is my breakfast in my hotel room...at 5am.  I made sure to make it look extra mouth watering.

Did you think that was a delicious looking tofu in there? Well..it's not.  It's dried KIMCHI!  I'm guessing this is kimchi ramen.  Who knew?  I was really looking forward to a nice piece of tofu...

Well.....that's it?  That's all I can think of to blog about.  Seriously, this is my first Japanese experience and it's all about instant ramen?  I have a feeling there will be more ramen posts in the future.

So what's next?  I get out of this tiny hotel room and make my way back to the airport to meet up with my potential Japanese buddies to take me to the dorms.  Hopefully my dinner tonight will be a little more exciting!

PS:  This is not really meant to be a food blog, but I can already see it turning in that direction and it's the first post.  (That's the Sushi part of my blog, stay tuned for Kimonos.....*whispers*...shopping)

PPS:  My god, I just ate some of the ramen.  ****in orgasm in the MOUTH!  Yea, I said orgasm.  I'll say it again, orgasm.  Anyway....just thought I'd let you know...
